Our CNC Grinding services offer the highest accuracy
Using computer numerical control (CNC), CNC Grinding machines are preprogrammed to remove excess material using grinding plates at precise placements. These machines ensure extreme accuracy and control, even when working with small parts. The programme can be run again and again, providing identical end products.
Our CNC Grinding Capabilities
Our MyFord CNC Grinding Machine can manage workpieces up to 350mm long x 150mm outside diameter (O/D). Tool and parts grinding can be done quickly and accurately with a tight tolerance.
We use CNC Grinding for high-volume batch work, as the speed and ease of replication are ideal for creating multiple identical parts with a fast turnaround. Our CNC grinding machinery is also well suited for grinding small workpieces, cylinders and other parts.
Precision and Accuracy
We can work down as low as a 3 micron tolerance, and comfortably achieve a 5 micron tolerance with various holding techniques.
Our workpiece holding methods include:
- On centre
- Chuck and centre
- Chuck and steady
- 4 jaw chuck
- 3 jaw chuck
- Magnetic chuck
- Direct from collet
This variety of holding methods allows us to comfortably achieve tolerance to 5 microns.
Industry Expertise and Experience
Established in 1982, our company has been offering a bespoke universal grinding service in Birmingham and the West Midlands. We have consistently updated our equipment and offering over the last 40 years. With this experience, we are proud to offer a well-established CNC Grinding service in Birmingham’s city centre.
Cost-Effectiveness and Time Efficiency
Because of the precise computer control enabled by our CNC grinding machinery, parts are machined quickly with relatively low input once programmed. CNC machines can run longer hours without stoppage. The work hours required are minimised by the automated computer control of CNC grinding, making this an efficient and highly cost-effective machining option.
